Denza is planning a rapid expansion in Australia, aiming to introduce up to five new models by the end of 2026. This includes an 850kW shooting brake and a potential $250,000 SUV in the coming years. The brand's initial focus is on SUVs, with the Denza B5 and B8 already available, priced at $74,990 and $91,000 respectively. These models are powered by a petrol plug-in hybrid powertrain. Mark Harland, Chief Operating Officer of Denza Australia, reveals plans for four or five cars this year, including the Z9 GT shooting brake, which will be available in right-hand drive later in the year. The Z9 GT offers both electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains with impressive power figures. Denza's website teases a potential people mover, the Denza D9, with a range of up to 600 kilometers and luxurious seating for seven. The brand's current models in Australia are sourced from the Fangchengbao subsidiary, with the B5 and B8 sold as the Leopard 5 and 8 in China. Looking ahead, Denza may also consider the Yangwang brand for future ultra-luxury models, such as the U8 hybrid SUV and U9 electric supercar. However, Harland acknowledges the challenge of introducing a $250,000 car to the Australian market, emphasizing the need to build brand reputation and infrastructure before making such a significant offering.
