USA Hockey stars recall painful injuries on 'Tonight Show'

The victory tour continues for Team USA's hockey stars, who recently appeared on 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon. The trio, including Jack Hughes, Quinn Hughes, and Hilary Knight, had a memorable time at the Milan Cortina Olympics, where they helped the U.S. win gold in both men's and women's hockey for the first time.

Knight's journey was particularly exciting. She scored the game-tying goal in the women's gold medal game and got engaged to Team USA speed skater Brittany Bowe just before winning gold. However, the proposal was a bit tricky as she was standing on a grate when she decided to get down on one knee. Knight explained to Fallon that she was nervous during the Olympics and that the proposal made sense logistically.

The men's team, including Jack and Quinn, had to wait a few days after watching the women win gold before their own game against Canada. They joined NFL legend Tom Brady in a suite to watch the women's game, and Jack revealed that Brady was the most pumped out of all of them. During the gold medal game, Jack scored the decisive goal, but his front tooth got chipped, causing him some discomfort.

Despite the injury, Jack's older brother reassured him during the game. Quinn, who was also a roommate in the Olympic village, shared a lighter moment, saying that Jack's injury wasn't as bad as he made it seem. The siblings expressed their desire to participate in the 2030 Olympics, with their younger brother Luke hoping to join them.

Knight, on the other hand, believes that 2026 was her last Olympics. She played with a torn MCL and hasn't missed the event since her debut in 2010. She described her experience as a storybook ending, highlighting the amazing team and incredible win, double golds, making it the perfect way to go out.
